Written about 1995

I will, I say,
I break away
From cares today
That tie me down

I ground my life
No more in strife
The two edged knife
That God has shown

Me, now prevails
It cures what ails
And never fails
To turn me ‘round.

I will, I say
Live Him today
Break from the fray
To higher ground.

He wills, He says
No more malaise.
Give Him the praise
Lift up, put down.

“He must increase and I must decrease.”
?--John the Baptist

Read “Paradise Lost” by John Milton and Dante’s “Inferno”. Hell is first in the heart of man. Salvation is in the heart of God, but it goes through the cross.
